Installation

  • Lift cover provides better access and clearance while pulling cables in during installation

  • One integrated unit results in fewer trenches to traverse during installation.

  • Less hoist movement and lifting.

Operation

  • One single unit replaces three to four distinct components (sectionalizer, transformer, secondary pedestal and meter pedestal).

    • A 25kVA unit is 78" X 24" X 30"

  • Integrated unit with distinct electrically isolated compartments for both low and high voltage

  • Touch-safe design is much roomier and laid out well allowing faster easier installation of low voltage cables.

  • The secondary compartment in some cases may be accessed by an electrician because the voltages are less than 300V in the secondary cabinet.

  • If a fault should occur on the system and the cable "whip" or elbow back off for any reason, replace elbow and insert and possibly the removable stud in the well, NOT a 4 point junction and elbow with the involved parking and inherent challenges with "legacy change-out" requirements. POWERMATRIX is much easier and faster and less expensive.

  • Installation

    • One less transformer  (less material cost and material handling costs)

    • One less ground sleeve  (less material cost and material handling costs)

    • Less ground connections  (less material cost and material handling costs)

    • Less ground wire  (less material cost and material handling costs)

    • Fewer ground rods  (less material cost and material handling costs)

    • Less primary duct  (less material cost and material handling costs)

    • Less primary cable  (less cost and labor to cut, carry, laydown, terminate)

    • Fewer elbow seals  (less cost and labor to install)

    • Fewer elbows  (less labor, reduces chance of human error)

    • Less trenching  (lower equipment, cable location costs and labor)

    • No secondary pedestal required
